I just completed a substantial project for longtime friend and client Danny Pelfrey. The CD will be distributed by mega company Megatrax. We recorded at Conway and I mixed the project here. Danny’s studio is not in L.A. so we ” E-Mixed” Each day while mixing I would hit him up on iChat and have him log on to ‘Source live” we would video conference and he would listen to my mix offerings in real time, streaming to his own studio monitors. Again and again he was amazed at the procedure, and how stream-lined it is. Danny has great ears and a interest in making a great musical endeavor. What a pleasure it was to be working for this talented composer it was as close to having him in the same room as possible given where we both work.
